Young Fathers

It won’t hurt you to take a break from your usual Hip Hop diet, and try a different taste, or maybe even three. That’s exactly what Hip Hop trio Young Fathers can be considered: a mezcla consisting of Liberian, Nigerian, and Scottish. Kayus Bankole, Alloysious Massaquoi, and Graham “G” Hastings are who make up this unlikely group. In an interview with NPR’s Audie Cornish, the three sit down to discuss their beginnings and the music they make which is just as varied and layered as they are. Check out the audio interview at the link, along with a stream of their debut album, Dead.
